The Beginning
A Vision Forged in the Fire
Silverhawks Homeschool Sports of the Sandhills was born out of a simple but powerful idea — to create more athletic opportunities for homeschool students across the Sandhills region of North Carolina. For years, homeschool athletes in Fayetteville, Hoke, Robeson, and Bladen counties had few options to compete in organized, high-level sports programs that truly reflected their dedication and potential.
As homeschool athletics began to grow through local homeschool sports programs, leaders and families saw something greater emerging — a movement that could unify surrounding communities under one identity, one mission, and one standard of excellence.
That spark led to the creation of Silverhawks Homeschool Sports, symbolized by the Silverhawk — a fierce, resilient bird that embodies strength, precision, and courage. The name and mascot reflect the region’s spirit and the belief that greatness is forged through challenge, discipline, and teamwork.
Mission
At Silverhawks Homeschool Sports of the Sandhills, our mission is to provide homeschool athletes with a competitive, faith-driven environment where character, discipline, and teamwork are forged through sport.
We exist to empower student-athletes to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually, while fostering a sense of belonging, pride, and excellence within the homeschool community. Through strong coaching, family partnerships, and a culture built on integrity and effort, we strive to develop leaders who excel both on the field and in life.
